Ms. AlJawhara Al Thani is the Head of Safeguarding and Wellbeing at Qatar Foundation Schools. She has been a part of the Safeguarding and Child Protection program at Qatar Foundation since its introduction and has worked to design and develop policies, procedures and training that bring international best practices in conversation with local laws, cultures, and customs. AlJawhara’s work emphasizes the importance of creating inclusive conversations that center the needs of the child regardless of the age, ability, culture or gender.
AlJawhara has an MA in Change Leadership - Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, a MA in Sociology of Education and Cultural Studies from New York University and a BSFS in Culture and Politics from Georgetown School of Foreign Service in Qatar.
