Dr. Ahmad Taqi is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Kuwait University, and the President of the Kuwait Pharmaceutical Association.

He holds an MPharm degree from Liverpool John Moores University (UK) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Strathclyde (UK). He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from MCPHS University in Boston, Massachusetts (USA), followed by a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. He further completed a postdoctoral clinical fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston (USA).

Dr. Taqi is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and a Board-Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (BCIDP). His research interests focus on antimicrobial use and misuse, antimicrobial stewardship, antimicrobial resistance, and the advancement of pharmaceutical services.
