Dr. Naredo completed her residency in rheumatology at the Hospital La Paz - Autonoma University, Madrid, Spain. She also fulfilled the criteria of the Doctoral Programme in the Department of Internal Medicine - Autonoma University, Madrid, Spain and earned her doctorate degree (cum laude) at Complutense University, Madrid, Spain; with the thesis ‘Assessment of inflammatory activity with ultrasound in rheumatoid arthritis.’
Dr. Naredo is a visiting fellow at the Department of Radiology - Musculoskeletal- Musculoskeletal Unit, Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, US. She later founded the Ultrasound School of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology.
Dr. Naredo also served as past-chair of the EULAR Standing Committee on Musculoskeletal Imaging; and published extensive articles (over 200) and book chapters (over 40), as well as participated in several conferences (over 300) concerning musculoskeletal ultrasound in rheumatology.
