Frank J. Frassica, M.D.

Dr. Frank Frassica is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina in 1982. He did is orthopedic residency and fellowship in orthopedic oncology at the Mayo Clinic. He was Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University from 2000 to 2011. He is now a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Oncology.
Dr. Frassica has a great passion for education and he has been recognized for his efforts many times. He has received numerous teaching awards including Teacher of the Year on five different occasions and was selected as the Teacher of the Decade at the Mayo Clinic. The American Orthopedic Association as the Distinguished Clinical Educator recognized him nationally.
Dr. Frassica directed the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Comprehensive Review Course for many years. His interests are in bone and soft tissue pathology, patient safety and education.
