Dr. Suh completed his Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship at Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at The Eye Institute, Medical College of Wisconsin, and received his Doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Rice University in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Suh is volunteer faculty of ORBIS medical mission programs.  He travels to South America, Europe, Asia and Africa to provide medical and surgical services and also to educate local ophthalmologists in those countries. Dr. Suh was Chairman of the Annual Meeting Program Committee in Pediatric Ophthalmology for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and was President of the Pork County Medical Society in Iowa.  He has been published in many medical journals and textbooks.  He is also involved with teaching residents in pediatric, internal medicine, family medicine and ophthalmology in Iowa and Nebraska.

Dr. Suh is actively involved with research, having completed research at the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigation Group (PEDIG) which is sponsored by the National Eye Institute (NIH). He is currently and ophthalmology executive committee member for the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). He has been voted Best Doctor in America's Top Ophthalmologist list since 2003.
