Dr. Muna Al Maslamani (Qatar) 
MBBS, CABMS, MSc-HCM-RCSI 

Dr. Muna Al Maslamani is the Medical Director of the Communicable Disease Center and the appointed Medical Director of All COVID-19 Cases in the State of Qatar. She is a Senior Consultant in Transplant Infectious Diseases and the Assistant Head of the Infectious Diseases Division–Medicine Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar. 

Her educational achievements include MBBS, Certification in Arab Board Medical Specialization-Internal Medicine, and Certification in Complete HMC-Infectious Disease Fellowship Training Program. She also has an Msc-HealthCare Management (RCSI-Bahrain) and an IHI Fellowship (Institute of Healthcare Improvement & Hamad Medical Corporation). In 2021, she became a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America (FIDSA).

In addition to clinical responsibilities, she also holds several administrative and academic positions in and outside HMC, namely Vice Chairperson for Quality and Patient Safety–Medicine, Fellowship Program Director for Infectious Disease, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q) and Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases in the Department of Clinical Academic Education, College of Medicine at Qatar University.

Dr. Muna is a great role model committed to improving the quality of patient care and takes the necessary steps to motivate others to do the same. She is a Fellow of Patient Centered Care (FPCC), a Fellow appointed by Planetree International, and a Person-Centered Care Executive Champion of the Communicable Disease Center. Her role as a sponsor for the Clinical Care Improvement Training Program (CCITP) of the Quality Division and her involvement in the IHI Best Care Always Campaign have produced 55 Quality Improvement Projects to date. She received various Intramural and External research grants and was able to partner with international researchers in clinical research and published 67 publications to date. She received several Awards for her leadership and service achievements, providing evidence of her passion and commitment to work and patient care.
