This project aims to enhance the overall patient safety and effectiveness and minimize the neonatal healthcare cost through improving the Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) insertion success rates, minimizing the catheter-related complications and decreasing the hospital stay in the NICU.

The aim of the study is to analyze the effectiveness of the drugs in controlling the glycemic status and to decrease the rate of complications related to diabetes with those attending our ambulatory clinics in HMC.

This study aligns with the HMC Strategic Plan in the establishment of a collaboration with partners across medicine. It aims to enhance the overall patient safety and minimize the neonatal healthcare cost by reducing fetal and neonatal complications associated with maternal PET in Qatar.
