On behalf of my nursing colleagues at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), I am pleased to announce that we will host the 2nd GCC Nursing Conference 2017 at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention Hotel in Doha, Qatar from 26 to 27 February, 2017.

The theme for this conference is The Evolution of Technology and its Impact on Humane Nursing Care.

Technology has become increasingly ever present in the nurse–patient relationship. Therefore, whether you are a nurse working in a hospital, private clinic, or the community setting, you will benefit from the lectures and discussions that will take place throughout the duration of this conference.

Internationally renowned speakers will provide advances in best practices and address the everyday challenges of using nursing technology to improve patient outcomes. They will help us understand how technology is transforming the way nursing care is conceptualized and delivered. There will be a wide range of topics that feature advances in nursing technology and innovation, and explore their effects on humane nursing care.

This conference will bring together nurse leaders from GCC member states who will share the latest advancements in nursing technology. It promises to be a valuable networking opportunity with the potential for important scientific collaborations.

This conference will provide excellent opportunities for all nurses, at all levels of practice and education, to participate in informative and stimulating educational sessions and workshops. Come share your experiences and help us find solutions to tackle the challenges of promoting the caring side of nursing when utilizing technologies.
