You must have an up to date health card to use the healthcare services provided at Heart Hospital and other Hamad Medical Corporation hospitals and clinics, as well as the Primary Health Care Corporation clinics. Health card holders may also have prescriptions filled at government-run pharmacies, at subsidized rates.

At Heart Hospital, you can renew an expired health card by visiting one of the cashiers’ offices which are open from 7am and 8pm, Sunday to Thursday and are located in the reception area of the Outpatient Department and in the main entrance to the hospital.

You will need to bring a passport size photo and your expired card (or know your health card number). The fee is QR50 for Qatari and GCC nationals and QR100 for other residents. New health cards can be issued at Heart Hospital but only for inpatients.

You can also renew your health card online by clicking here.
