1. Our ambition

At HMC, we have achieved an enormous amount over the last half a century but the ambition is still strong to continue developing. More hospitals and facilities are set to open in the coming years and we are continuously working to introduce new and innovative ways of working. Our strategy going forward to support the Qatar National Vision 2030 will be guided by Qatar’s new National Health Strategy 2018-2022, which puts a focus on population health and identifies seven key population groups whose needs are the highest.

2. Our people

Across our network of hospitals and specialist services we have more than 25,000 employees working together to deliver the very best care to our patients. Our strong Qatari core is complimented by employees from more than 100 different countries. This means they are each able to offer their own unique experiences of working in different healthcare settings and can add value to our plans and ways of working. HMC’s growth and ambition has attracted some of the world’s leading healthcare experts, including researchers and academics in the fields of neurosciences, metabolic conditions, cancer and heart health, among others. By becoming part of HMC’s workforce, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s best.

3. Work life balance

HMC offers a very positive work-life balance for its employees. While there is no doubt that we work hard to care for our patients, there is also ample time away from work to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. The standard working hours for non-clinical staff are 7am to 3pm, Sunday to Thursday, meaning sufficient time in the evenings to enjoy life away from work. Our employees also enjoy 35 to 50 paid vacation days per year plus around 10 more paid days off for Eid holidays.

4. A chance to be part of something really unique

Qatar is a wonderfully ambitious and forward-thinking nation. Its growth and development over the past few decades has been astonishing, and with the FIFA World Cup set to take place here in Qatar in 2022, the next few years will be an incredibly exciting period for the country. In terms of healthcare, the recent expansion of the system means that now is the time for our employees and patients to really benefit. We have the facilities, we have the technology, and we have the people - now is the time to bring this all together and make a positive difference to the people of Qatar.

5. An attractive contract package

At HMC we offer very attractive packages to our employees. This includes a tax-free salary, end of service financial award, annual round-trip leave ticket to the country you were recruited from, housing allowance or accommodation, financial support for children’s education and transport and furniture allowances.

6. World-class facilities

Our teams at HMC benefit from working within state-of-the-art facilities, utilizing the most advanced healthcare technology. With seven hospitals and many specialist facilities opening since 2010 our teams are fortunate to work in healthcare environments which have been recently designed and built to the very highest international standards. From robotic surgery to hydrotherapy pools, telemedicine to advanced cancer treatment technology, pharmacy robots to ultra-modern air ambulances, we are harnessing the most advanced technology for the benefit of our patients.

7. Excellent education and training opportunities

As a premier healthcare provider, we recognize that education and training are central to supporting the delivery of high quality patient care.
