Your admission to Al Wakra Hospital may be arranged in several ways, depending on your healthcare needs:

• Through the Emergency Department or Outpatient Clinics for extended observation or an overnight stay.
• As a planned admission, coordinated through shared decision-making with your physician following a detailed discussion about your treatment needs.

Once admitted, you will receive care from a dedicated multidisciplinary team that will guide you through every step of your hospital stay. Al Wakra Hospital offers a full spectrum of inpatient services, including acute, intensive, and long-term care, designed to address a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups:

Inpatient Services

• Acute Inpatient Units
  Located across the North and South Towers, these units include:
  • 6^th floor - Medical Inpatients
  • 5^th floor - Surgical Inpatients
  • 4^th floor - Medical and Burn Inpatients
  • 3^rd floor - Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • 2^nd floor - Cardiology and High Dependency Unit (HDU)
  • 1^st floor -​ Burn Inpatient Unit

• Intensive Care Units (ICU)
  Our Intensive Care Units are located on the first floor of Al Wakra Hospital and are equipped with private single rooms to ensure privacy, safety, and comfort for critically ill patients. We provide specialized 24/7 care through the following units:
  • Adult Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - for patients requiring advanced monitoring and life-support care following major illness, surgery, or trauma.
  • Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (PICU & NICU) - for infants and children with serious medical conditions or complications at birth. All acute and long-term pediatric admissions are managed at the Al Maha Pediatric Specialized Care Center.​
