At WWRC, our gynecology services address a wide range of conditions. While many gynecological conditions are treatable with minimal intervention, others may have a greater impact on quality of life and fertility. Our specialists offer both general and specialized care for conditions such as:

  • Colposcopy
  • Urogynecology
  • Gynecological Oncology
  • Recurrent Pregnancy Loss
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy
  • Hysteroscopy
  • Severe menstrual disorders
  • Fibroids
  • Infertility

Urogynecology

For patients suffering from urinary or bowel incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections, or pelvic organ prolapse, WWRC provides urogynecological care. Conditions treated include:

  • Urinary incontinence
  • Overactive bladder
  • Recurrent urinary tract infections
  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Fecal incontinence
  • Urogynecologic fistulas

Treatment options may include non-surgical methods such as bladder training and physical therapy, as well as surgical procedures like vaginal and laparoscopic repairs. Individualized care plans are created based on the patient's needs.

Gynecology/Oncology

For women referred to the Gynecological Oncology clinic, a thorough assessment will be conducted to diagnose and treat possible gynecological cancers, including cancers of the uterus, ovaries, cervix, or vulva. During the consultation, a physical exam will be performed, and a treatment plan will be discussed. The team provides support and guidance through every step of the diagnosis and treatment process, ensuring the patient has all the information needed to make informed decisions.

Colposcopy

For those who have had an abnormal pap smear or are referred for cervical screening, a colposcopy allows clinicians to examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva for signs of disease. This diagnostic procedure is performed by a highly trained team to ensure patient comfort and clarity during the process.

Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

Women who have experienced two or more miscarriages can receive specialized care at our Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Clinic. A thorough review of medical history and diagnostic testing will be conducted to identify potential causes of miscarriage and provide a tailored treatment plan, which may include surgical interventions or counseling support.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

WWRC offers Hormone Replacement Therapy for women experiencing symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes, night sweats, and irritability. HRT helps replace the hormones (estrogen) that decrease during menopause, improving quality of life during this stage.
