The Trauma Intensive Care Unit (TICU) provides care to all types of trauma with unstable hemodynamic (blood movement) status, requiring close monitoring or intensive care. We are located on the first floor of the Trauma and Emergency Center located on the Hamad General Hospital campus and are dedicated to providing the safest, most effective and compassionate care to our patients.
Our department attends to approximately 45 patients per month and works collaboratively with other intensive care units in Hamad General Hospital and Hamad Medical Corporation to ensure the delivery of the best care always to our patients. Our dedicated team of professionals specializes in all adult trauma patient critical care such as frequent monitoring, intensive intervention or ventilation. Conditions include but are not limited to multiple trauma, trauma to the chest, abdomen, multiple fractures, and head and spinal injuries.
