Welcome to HMC’s Mental Health Service

The Mental Health Service management and administration offices are located within the same facility as the Psychiatry Hospital to facilitate the delivery of care.

The Mental Health Service at HMC is committed to:
  • promoting good mental health and wellbeing
  • offering effective treatment
  • providing optimal level of care
Providing treatment and support for children and young people, as well as adults and older people. This support is provided in a range of settings and will be expanded to include the delivery of care in the community, close to where people live. 

We offer a comprehensive assessment to all those who present to our service and we try to tailor the service and support we offer to the needs of each individual.

Our teams include multidisciplinary healthcare professionals who are dedicated to helping those who are experiencing mental health problems to support them in managing and coping with the pressures of the daily life and help them lead dignified and more fulfilling lives. We endeavor to use our expertise and resources to deliver professional and comprehensive care that is focused on recovery and rehabilitation.

Our vision, mission and values align with Qatar’s National Mental Health Strategy of 2013 - 2018; which is a framework designed to aid improving the lives of individuals and families in Qatar and building an empowered society capable of successfully meeting its challenges.

Our mission is to provide safe, effective, confidential, and accessible, patient and family centered support, in partnership with patients and their families and others supporters, through skilled multidisciplinary services that focus on recovery and wellbeing.
