Standardized Patient Rooms
There are ten individual patient examination rooms designed to facilitate interaction between a clinician and their patient. These rooms are equipped to replicate a doctor's office or an outpatient clinic room.
Examples of the activities which take place in these rooms include training in communication skills, including difficult conversations such as breaking bad news, and advanced assessment techniques using state-of-the-art technology.
Virtual Reality Lab
Numerous virtual reality simulators are available to provide opportunities for repetitive practice of skills. The simulators provide individual learners with feedback on their performance so they can continue to practice until they reach mastery.
Examples of activities in the Virtual Reality Lab include practice of angiography, transthoracic echocardiography, OB/GYN, histoscopy, endoscopy, orthopedic, ophthalmology, and dental procedures, amongst others.
