One of HMC’s newest facilities, Hazm Mebeireek General Hospital provides a modern, state-of-the-art environment in which to treat male and female patients of all nationalities with COVID-19.
Our two newest hospitals, both opened in 2020, have been designated to care for COVID-19 patients. The opening of these new hospitals increases the health system’s capacity by over 400 acute beds for COVID-19 patients and that the country is able to expand that even further if the need arises.
The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology of the HMC is playing a pivotal role in combatting COVID-19 and its spread in Qatar.
The Ras Laffan and Mesaieed Hospitals will significantly enhance our capacity to care for COVID-19 patients who need acute and critical care.
