Message from Chairman
The Second Qatar Nephrology Conference will be held in Doha from 25 to 27 February 2016. It is my great honor to welcome you to visit Qatar and participate in this exciting conference. We plan to expand upon the success of the First Qatar Nephrology Conference and bring you the leaders in the field of nephrology to discuss the most important clinical issues that you will face in your daily practice.
The incidence and prevalence of renal diseases are on the rise all over the world. Chronic, non-communicable diseases like diabetes mellitus and hypertension are still representing the major causes of end-stage renal disease, and fighting against such diseases is a big health challenge for the future.
Qatar’s National Health Strategy calls for high quality, preventive and therapeutic healthcare that is enabled, in part, by our commitment to health research.
The scientific program of the Second Qatar Nephrology Conference has been carefully selected to provide up-to-date, cutting-edge evidence in different aspects of renal and transplantation medicine, by a group of highly respected, experienced physicians from all over the world.
Visiting Qatar in February will be an unforgettable experience. You will enjoy nice weather and be able to explore the enormous development of the country’s infrastructure, which has been achieved over a relatively short period of time and has helped Qatar to emerge as a strong and dynamic country.
On behalf of my colleagues on the renal team, we are looking forward to welcoming you to Doha and to make your visit as enjoyable and productive as possible.
Dr Hassan Al Malki
Chairman
