Manal is the Director of Diabetes Education for Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). She is also a member of the scientific committee of Qatar Diabetes Association, Co- Chair for National Patient Empowerment Committee, Co- Chair for National Prevention program and Chair of Qatar Metabolic Institute Education Committee. She established the first Accredited Diabetes Education Course in collaboration with CNAQ in Qatar and is the main organizer for Qatar’s National Diabetes Awareness Campaigns. She is a spokesperson for national TV channels on diabetes and public health topics and an international lecturer in diabetes education. She graduated from nursing school in Jordan 1993 with a bachelor degree and in 2007 she completed a master’s in public health/ community medicine. She has also published three papers about diabetes prevalence and metabolic syndrome among Qatari population in international journals.
