Dr. Sami Al Said
Dr. Sami graduated from the Medical Academy Sofia, Bulgaria in 1980. He began his career in general surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) then he joined the Urology Department in 1992. He received a Jordanian Board of Urology certification in 1997, and has been an Arab Board Certified Urologist since 1998. Following that he showed interest in Andrology and especially male infertility.
Since 2000, Dr. Sami has specialized in male infertility at Hamad General Hospital (HGH) and has been the head of the male infertility team since then.
HGH is the main governmental hospital in Qatar where the only specialized male infertility section and the main IVF Center in Doha are located. With his male infertility team, Dr. Sami had succeeded in mastering all male infertility domains including advanced diagnostic techniques, medical and microsurgical treatment. Dr. Sami is an expert in microsurgical male infertility procedures including varicocelectomy, reconstructive surgery and testicular biopsy.
Dr. Sami has many international publications on male infertility and he is currently participating in more than 10 ongoing research studies in male infertility and urology, including multicenter studies with international universities.
