Program Objectives- Cover an abdominal trauma, exploring a patient’s journey from the scene until his full recovery.
- Show the contribution from all disciplines and the care the patient received.
- In parallel with the advancement of nursing, nursing research and using evidence-based practice- showcase how advanced Nursing Grand Rounds are a valuable teaching intervention designed to promote up-to-date, evidence-based nursing practice, high-quality patient care and improved patient outcomes.
- Give front line nurses who cared for the patient the opportunity to deliver the grand round presentation.
- Allow nurses to select and present a case and illustrate the evidence-based care that was delivered (Weber etal, 2011).
