Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of Trauma Services, I am delighted to welcome you to the Second Trauma Interdisciplinary Grand Round. I am proud to introduce this year’s theme,
“Trauma Victim to Survivor: Retracing Polytrauma Patient’s Steps to Recovery.” For our grand round, we will take a detailed look at a patient’s journey, a year after his accident. We will hear the patient narrate his experience first-hand and explore the dynamics of the healthcare system using his own point of view. Together, we will retrace his steps and find out how a group of healthcare providers from different disciplines succeeded in saving his life and integrate him back into the community.
