It is my pleasure to invite you to the second edition of the Qatar International Pain Conference on 28 to 29 April, 2017. This is a must attend event for those with an interest in pain management with a focus on regional techniques and evidence-based practices.
This conference will bring together thought leaders and experts from the European Society of Regional Anesthesia to Doha as we celebrate the initiation and partnership with this international organization. The conference will offer participants state-of-the-art pain therapy, research and teachings which can be immediately applied to your day to day practice.
We are confident you will find this conference both thought provoking and stimulating, as it will serve as a catalyst for further discussions and cooperation across the region.
Dr. Nick Scott
Vice Chairman of Anesthesiology, ICU and Perioperative Medicine, HMC
We are happy to welcome you to the second edition of the Qatar International Pain Conference. Following on the success of the inaugural conference in 2015, the organizing committee has produced another excellent program with a combination of both local and international speakers. The program is a mixture of theory and practice with something for everyone and enough scientific and clinical information and controversy to encourage you to challenge yourself with ongoing research.
This conference is organized in partnership with the European Society of Regional Anesthesia (ESRA). We are humbled that ESRA has chosen Qatar as a hub in 2017 for administering part 1 of the exam for the Diploma in Regional Anesthesia. We hope this will encourage many anesthesiologists to use this opportunity to take the exam. If successful, candidates will then be then invited to take the final exam at the next ESRA Annual Congress in 2018. Full details are on the ESRA website.
As always, your feedback is an important method of determining the value of any conference, so please ensure that you provide as much feedback as possible throughout the conference.
This activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Category 1) as defined by the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners – Accreditation Department and is approved for a maximum of 6.5 hours.
