I am delighted to announce that Qatar will be hosting the 3rd Qatar International Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Summit (QIMBSS) from 10 to 12 March, 2016. On behalf of Hamad Medical Corporation, it is my honor and privilege to invite you to this exciting event in Doha. 

Looking into the medical community there is an urgent need for unity in the fight against the growing pandemic of obesity, both in Qatar and internationally. So let us join hands and share our ideas. This unique summit will focus on the management of revisional and complicated bariatric surgeries.

Our distinguished keynote speakers and panelists will share their experiences and exchange ideas through lectures and discussions on bariatric and metabolic surgery techniques. We will also have live surgery sessions during the summit to provide us with technical knowledge from experts around the world and to support us to adopt new techniques in our practice for revisional and complicated bariatric surgeries.

The shining jewel of Qatar, Doha is the multicultural capital city of Qatar. Located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, Qatar provides enchanting heritage sites, modern attractions and captivating scenery to her visitors. The city's plentiful malls meet every shopper’s needs, while the Corniche impresses visitors with its picturesque architecture and dazzling views of the harbor. Doha boasts a myriad of cultural facilities, including the futuristic Education City and the Museum of Islamic Art. Having hosted the 2006 Asian Games, the city is home to many sports complexes as well and will host the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2022.
