Dr Kawa is a Consultant Geriatrician working at Hamad Medical Corporation in the Geriatric and Long Term Care Department, joining the growing team in Qatar a year ago. His special interest is in falls service and healthcare education.
He trained in UK [London] as Specialist Trainee and was appointed as Consultant Geriatrician in 2013 at Barking Havering Redbridge University NHS Trust (BHRUT). He was Consultant lead for falls service at BHRUT and represented British Geriatric Society on the advisory group for the National Audit of In-Patient Falls 2017-2018. He also led the geriatric department for Safety and Quality [Clinical Governance] at BHRUT 2014-2018.
Dr Kawa Amin is involved in many Royal College’s approved educational activities in the UK.
In addition to his clinical duties, he enjoys gardening and playing squash.
