Dr. Ameena Salem AlYazeedi AlYafei, RPh,MBA,CPHQ,BCGP
Director of Pharmacy Department, Rumailah Hospital.
Dr. Ameena received her Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University, she joined Hamad Medical Corporation and lead pharmacy in many managerial assignments and positions for more than 20 years.
Dr. Ameena was the lead of three Hospital pharmacy departments in three different specialized and long term HMC hospitals, including Rumailah Hospital, Mental Health Service and the Communicable Disease Center.
She received her Postgraduate certificate in clinical pharmacy from Queen’s University, Belfast, UK (2014); after which she obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Manchester Business School, Manchester University. Her thesis focused on pharmacists’ performance evaluation and how to improve the quality of pharmacy practice.
Dr. Ameena has a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ) qualification from the US. She also earned a Geriatric board certification from the commission of certification in Geriatric Pharmacy( Board of Pharmacy Specialties).
Dr. Ameena has sponsored and lead many quality projects and participated in national and regional conferences, participating both as a speaker and poster presenter. In addition, she is a core member in many various executive hospital and corporate committees at Hamad Medical Corporation.
