Call for Abstracts

Seize this opportunity to collaborate, learn from one another, and strive for global and regional excellence in geriatric and dementia care by demonstrating how you have embraced the principles of innovation, empowerment, and resilience in the care of older adults and those living with Dementia.

The 3rd Qatar International Geriatric and Dementia Conference will be held in Doha, Qatar from 26 to 28 October 2023. The conference scientific committee invites you to participate by submitting an abstract for a an oral or poster presentation that highlights your specialized knowledge and expertise.


The conference, which will feature prominent experts presenting on critical issues relevant to the topics and the region, focuses on seven aspects related to the field of ageing, including: 

  1. Frailty
  2. Dementia
  3. Early rehabilitation and preventing de-conditioning
  4. Healthy Aging
  5. Geriatric syndromes
  6. Perioperative care in elderly
  7. Sepsis and other infections in elderly

All abstracts will be reviewed by members of the conference scientific committee and after successful review of your abstract; we will advise you regarding further steps.

Please select if you wish your abstract to be considered eligible for one of the following:

  1. Lectures: these are 20-minute-long lectures that will be selected from abstract submissions.
  2. Poster: poster designs should conform to standard scientific poster formats and should not include previously published projects or be more than 16 months old.

All authors with accepted abstract submissions will receive a certificate of appreciation. They will also have the opportunity to win one of the best poster awards. Successful authors will be notified and receive a link to access the special registration page by Sunday 17 September 2023.

Abstracts will be peer reviewed and the final selection for oral or poster presentations will be made by a select group of appointed judges from the conference scientific planning committee. Acceptance will be based on content and the agreed criteria stipulated by the committee.
