Ms. Refa Hanish B Z Bakhit

Ms. Refa is a Qatari nurse at HMC with 14 years healthcare experience between clinical, managerial, education and training. Five of these years have been in perioperative nursing as operating theater nurse and charge nurse of the operating theater and day care unit at Rumailah Hospital. In 2009 Appointed as Nurse Educator for operating theater nurses in the Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Department and in 2015 she was appointed Director of Nursing Education at the Ambulatory Care Center. In 2019 appointed as Director of Nursing at Rumailah Hospital.

Ms. Refa was the lead planner for first Nurse Run Pre-Anesthesia Clinic which is part ACC education program. This clinic won the 2018 HMC Star of Excellence award in the category of Health: Patient experience.

Currently, she is part of the HMC Aspiring Leaders Program (Al Negwa) 2018 – 2020 and the HHQI Improvement leadership program (ILP). Ms. Refa has also completed WHO ICN leadership for change program, leadership and management development for nurses.
