Dr.Kadhim Sulaiman
Dr Kadhim J Sulaiman: FRCPI, FRCP (Glasgow), FESC, is senior consultant cardiologist at the National Heart Center in the Royal Hospital. He is Immediate Past President of Oman Heart Association and Past President of Gulf Heart Association. He also worked for 8 years as Director General of Specialized Medical Care in the Ministry of Health,
He is an examiner in MRCPI and MRCP (UK) and Arab Board part II clinical examinations. He is the chairman of the Oman Chapter of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
As a cardiologist, Dr Sulaiman’s main interest is in acute coronary syndrome and heart failure. He is very active in research, particularly registries in the region. He was a member of the steering committees of the three Gulf registries of acute coronary events (Gulf RACES), and the Gulf Study of atrial fibrillation events (Gulf SAFE). He was the Principal Investigator of the Gulf acute heart failure registry (Gulf CARE), and he is currently steering committee member of the ongoing PEACE-MENA Registry of Acute Coronary Syndrome and Heart Failure. He is an advisory Board member of Heart Views (the official journal of Gulf Heart Association) and a reviewer of many journals. He has more than one hundred and twenty publications in peer review journals.
He was awarded the Arab Doctor Award for the year 2021 for his contributions to the cardiology community.
