Dr. Ahmed Jenaid Omar

Dr. Ahmed Jenaid Omar is currently the Chairman of Clinical Imaging Department in Hamad Medical Corporation. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery last 1992 and his postgraduate education last 2001 at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland.

He has over 20 years experience working as a clinical radiologist. After his fellowship, he sub-specialized in interventional radiology and has gained considerable experience in most of the general interventional procedures including both vascular and non-vascular procedures. 

Aside from Clinical Radiology, his other main interest is education and assessment. He leads the introduction of Arab Board of Radiology training program and subsequent ACGME-I accreditation in HMC. He had been the Program director from 2008 to 2020. He is also currently the chairman of examination committee in Arab Board and the chairman of written examination sub-committee in Qatari Board.
