Karin Dembrower

Karin Dembrower is the head physician at the Department of Breast Radiology, Capio Sankt Görans Hospital, Sweden, Stockholm. She has been working as a dedicated breast radiologist since 2016. She defended her Ph.D. thesis in April with the title “Deep Learning in Breast Cancer Screening.” Her scientific studies have centered around assessing if and how AI can be implemented to improve cancer detection and breast cancer risk estimation. She is currently involved in clinical research, Screen Trust CAD, a prospective clinical trial assessing whether AI in mammography screening can replace one of two radiologists in a double-reading setting. She has repeatedly presented at the RSNA annual congress in 2019, 2020, and 2021, and ECR in 2012.
