
Prof. Wanis H Ibrahim, MB ChB, FRCP (Edin), FRCP (Glasg), FRCPI, FCCP, F (Pulm)
Prof. Ibrahim is a senior Consultant internist and pulmonologist at Hamad General Hospital, Qatar, and a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the College of Medicine, Qatar University, and Weill-Cornell Medical College, Qatar. Prof. Ibrahim was among the top graduates of the Faculty of Medicine (Al-Arab Medical University-Libya) in 1995. Prof.
Prof. Ibrahim is the regional adviser for the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, a clinical examiner for the Royal College of Physicians of the UK, and the Arab Board Council for Medical Specialties. He is also the Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Hamad Medical Corporation.
Prof. Ibrahim has published extensively in medical literature, particularly in pulmonary medicine, pulmonary embolism, and lung cancer. In addition, he was the author of three medical books that are used internationally.
Prof. Ibrahim received over 50 awards and recognitions, with over 25 Best Teaching, Best Research, and Best Research Mentor awards. Prof. Ibrahim is the Ex-associate editor of the International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (2007-2022), Editor (The Libyan Journal of Medicine), and Member of the BMC Pulmonary Medicine editorial board. He is a reviewer for over 17 medical journals, including THORAX.
