Call for Abstracts

The organizing committee of the 6th Qatar International Internal Medicine (6-QIIM) Conference 2025 is delighted to invite you to participate and submit papers for presentation. Submissions should be related to original research or quality improvement projects contributing to the understanding, development or evaluation of internal medicine and its subspecialties. Interesting case reports are also encouraged. You can also submit outstanding work in the field of medical education and health care service development.

Before submission, please read the following instructions to ensure that the abstract submission conforms to the following requirements:

  1. Document format: only Microsoft Word Documents (doc, docx) are accepted (PDF format is NOT accepted). 
  2. Font: Arial, font size: 10.
  3. Page: A4, portrait mode, page margins: normal.
  4. Word count limit: Maximum 300 words (Background & Aim, Methods/changes studies for QI, Results and Conclusions, all Inclusive).
  5. Please note that figures/tables/charts are NOT allowed for all the categories.
  6. Language & grammar: Please make sure that the abstract is written in the correct grammatical manner. The committee reserves the right to outrightly reject poorly drafted write ups with language &/or grammatical errors, or not conforming to the guidelines.
  7. At least one author from each abstract must be registered in the conference and is expected to attend the congress and present the poster or oral presentation.
  8. Only abstracts submitted via the online submission form will be accepted.
  9. All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference abstract book.
  10. Distinguished presentations (oral and poster) will be awarded in the conference.
  11. All abstract (except case reports) should be structured as following:
    • Background & aim
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions

Evaluation Criteria for abstract submissions

The Abstract Review Committee will review all abstracts using the following criteria:

  • The content of the abstract provides new insight and/or knowledge in the field of internal medicine and its subspecialties research.
  • The abstract is clear and well organized.
  • The proposed presentation is innovative and/or original.
  • The proposed presentation will be of interest to the conference delegates.

Declaration of Consent to Publication and Assignation of Copyright

By submitting an abstract, you agree with following conditions:

  • I confirm that I wrote this abstract, and that all information is correct and original. I accept that this abstract cannot have major alterations in the content after final submission (except minor typing/spellings/grammar and layout changes, which I allow to be made).
  • I also confirm that the submitted abstract reports new information and has not previously been published or presented at an international scientific meeting prior to this conference.
  • Submission of the abstract establishes my consent to publication to the conference website and the conference booklet/journal.
