Dr. Thana AlYafei is an internal medicine consultant and the chair of the Department of Medicine at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi. She received her medical degree from United Arab Emirates University and completed her residency in internal medicine, along with training in palliative care, at the University of Toronto, Canada.
Additionally, she holds a Master's in Leadership in Health Professionals' Education from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and is certified in Medical Quality and Lifestyle Medicine.
As a clinician educator with extensive experience in medical education, Dr. AlYafei chairs the Internal Medicine Scientific Committee at the National Institute of Health Sciences. She is passionate about advancing palliative medicine in the region and is dedicated to enhancing medical education.
