Dr. Muftah Othman is a Senior Consultant Nephrologist at HMC and an Assistant Professor at Weil Cornel Medical College in Qatar.
Dr. Othman is a qualified MD from Al-Arab Medical University in Libya. He completed his specialist clinical training in internal Medicine and Nephrology in Libya and the United Kingdom.
He obtained the Arab Board certificate in Internal Medicine in 2001. He got an MRCP (UK), Master of Nephrology, and Fellowship in Nephrology from Sheffield Kidney Institute and Sheffield University, UK, 2007.
Moreover, he received the Clinical Nephropathology Certificate, which was provided by the International Society of Nephrology in collaboration with Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Othman was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (UK) in 2013 and has been a member of the International Society of Nephrology since 2007.
He has published his research in many national and international conferences and journals.
Dr. Othman is strongly interested in postgraduate medical education. He spends considerable time teaching and mentoring medical students, internal medicine residents, and fellows at HMC. He is the Host and Clinical Examiner for both the MRCP (UK) PACES exam and the Arab Board Internal Medicine Examination.
