Mansoor Hameed

Dr. Hameed is a Senior Consultant Pulmonologist at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), an Associate Professor at Qatar University, and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar. He also serves as the Associate Program Director of the Pulmonology Fellowship Training at HMC, where he mentors and trains future pulmonologists. As a national delegate, he represents Qatar in the European Respiratory Society. 

As the lead transplant physician, he was instrumental in establishing Qatar's lung transplant program, demonstrating his commitment to advancing healthcare in the region. He trained in the United Kingdom and served as a College Tutor for the Royal College of Physicians and an Academic Tutor and Honorary University Fellow for the University of Plymouth, showcasing his leadership and excellence in medical education. 

He has a special interest in asthma, COPD, and non-CF bronchiectasis. He is a member of the national asthma and COPD guidelines committee. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and received national and international awards, including the PrescQIPP National Award 2017 (UK) for his work in COPD.
