Khalid A Alswat
Prof. Alswat is a Professor and Consultant Hepatologist at the College of Medicine, King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the director of the Liver Disease Research Center.
He obtained his MBBS from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, followed by postgraduate training at King Saud University. He further specialized in Hepatology at the University of Toronto, Canada, and holds an MBA from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
With a career spanning over a decade in various leadership capacities, Prof. Alswat has held the positions of Head of the Gastroenterology Unit, Head of Postgraduate Studies, and Vice Dean for Quality and Development at King Saud University.
As a Liver Disease Research Center director, he focuses on clinical studies on steatotic liver disease and viral hepatitis and developing non-invasive methods for assessing liver fibrosis.
