Dr. Abdullah M. Al Alawi is a Senior Consultant in General Medicine at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital. He also serves as the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) and is a Fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Al Alawi holds advanced degrees in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Research and has received multiple national awards for research excellence. He has over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has secured 15 research grants. His research focuses on magnesium disorders, their prevalence, prognostic value, and impact on diabetes management.

Dr. Al Alawi is passionate about medical education and has led projects assessing residency program evaluations, burnout, and integrating AI-based learning tools. He supervises research, mentors trainees, and conducts workshops on evidence-based medicine, systematic reviews, and clinical research methods.​
