The Annual Symposium for Community Mental Health Services in Qatar is a well-established educational and informative event for healthcare professionals and others who are working to support people with mental health problems in the community.
Now in its sixth year, this year’s symposium theme is “Standing Up for Mental Health” which is aimed at addressing two main challenges facing mental healthcare delivery and patients with mental health problems in Qatar.
The first objective is to use this forum as a platform to discuss and promote ways to fighting the stigma surrounding accessing specialist care. The second objective is to highlight ways to help reintegrating people with a mental health condition back into the community and to encourage them to engage in work and other meaningful activities.
The symposium will outline the progress made in Qatar in terms of accessible mental healthcare provision in primary as well as secondary public healthcare institutions.
Join the discussions and share your experiences and knowledge with others to support the wider effort of “Standing Up For Mental Health”.
