Welcome

Dear delegate,

The 6th Annual Symposium for Community Mental Health Service in Qatar 2021 is once again set to deliver a significant educational platform for knowledge sharing on the important topic of community mental health.

The COVID-19 pandemic has posed unprecedented physical as well as mental health and social challenges and it is imperative that different public and private groups collaborate to develop mitigation strategies to meet the needs of the most vulnerable in the society. Consequently, the theme of our symposium this year is “Standing up for Mental Health: Implications Beyond Covid-19”.

The expert discussions will cover all aspects of mitigation strategies for long term sustainability of the mental health system as a whole.

Participants can select to attend in-person at the Itqan Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City, or they can join via an online platform. Not only do participants get the opportunity to earn Continuous Professional Development (CPD) hours, but it is also an important forum for professional networking in the region.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we look forward to your participation at the 6th Annual Symposium for Community Mental Health Service in Qatar 2021.
