INVITATION TO SUBMIT PRESENTATION ABSTRACTSThe 5th Qatar International Mental Health Conference provides a wonderful platform for peer-to-peer learning and networking. The Planning Committee seeks submissions of interest to participate in this year’s conference and look forward to receiving abstracts of research projects or quality initiatives that you believe would make a suitable contribution to our program.
Your abstracts should address one of the following options:
- Oral Presentations
- Workshop Sessions
- Poster Presentations
Your abstract submission should include the following:
1) Oral PresentationsOral presentations will be of
15 minutes duration. The abstract should outline the important points of
the presentation and highlight the content to be communicated,
including the aims, methods, relevance, results and conclusions of the
work, research, project or case study. Abstracts should not include
tables, figures or references.
2) Intensive Workshop Sessions Workshop sessions
are scheduled to be 3-hours long and will require an interactive format
to facilitate active learning, such as discussion, activities, small
group role-plays. The workshop focuses on a particular issue or topic
relevant to mental health services and maximizes audience participation.
At least 25% of the total allotted time must be devoted to questions
and answers, or to group interaction – remember this is NOT a lecture.
The applicant arranges the chairperson; the maximum number of presenters
should not exceed 1 chairperson and 2 co-presenters.
3) Poster PresentationsPoster presentations are visual displays of material to be presented and constitute an interactive and communicative medium, usually combining text and graphics information. Posters may be on any topic relevant to the Conference.
Posters will be displayed in the venue foyer for the duration of the Conference. It is expected that one of the authors should be available during break times to discuss the poster with other attendees. Specific information regarding size and mounting requirements will be provided with the notice of acceptance.
