Dr. Basem Faouzi Awadh, Senior Consultant Rheumatology
Dr. Basem Awadh is currently a senior consultant and an associate program director in the department of Rheumatology at Hamad Medical Center.
Dr. Basem earned his MD degree from Damascus University then completed his training in the US. He first did his internal medicine training at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine then his rheumatology fellowship training at University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Basem started his career at the University of Kansas Medical Center and worked there as an assistant professor for several years. He is currently American Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
Dr. Basem has special interest in education, and he is currently involved in the rheumatology fellowship training program at Hamad Medical Corporation.
