Dr. Cristin Ryan
Dr. Ryan graduated from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland with a first class honours MPharm degree and has experience working as both a hospital and a community pharmacist.
She completed her PhD at the University College Cork in 2009 on ‘Appropriate Prescribing in Older Patients’ and subsequently undertaken a post-doctoral research fellowship with the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.
In 2011, Cristín was appointed as a lecturer in clinical pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast and as a senior lecturer in pharmacy practice in RCSI in 2015. Her research interests include: medication safety, appropriate prescribing and dispensing, development of behavioural change interventions and adherence to prescribed treatments. She is a Cochrane Fellow and is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
