Dr. Brian Addison
Dr. Brian Addison is a Senior Lecturer and Teaching Fellow at the School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences.
Brian is a pharmacist registrant of The General Pharmaceutical Council, a Fellow of the Higher Education (FHEA) and a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (MRPharmS). He is also a Faculty Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and has been recognized as a Faculty Fellow (FFRPS).
Dr. Addison is the Course Leader for the school’s MSc in Clinical Pharmacy Service Development, a full-time taught Masters program for pharmacists, and teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy courses. Brian was the course co-ordinator for the school Pharmacist Prescribing Programs for a number of years and has a wealth of experience in delivering and developing the initial education and training for pharmacist prescribers.
Dr. Addison's doctoral thesis explored the role of uncertainty in 'becoming' a pharmacist from the perspective of undergraduate pharmacy students. His research interests span many aspects of pharmacy practice and pharmacy education and his current areas of doctoral supervision include social media and e-professionalism.
