Visiting timesFamily and friends are encouraged to visit patients, as this assists the recovery process. To ensure that patients are able to see friends and family but are also able to receive adequate rest and medical supervision, please adhere to the visitation hours provided by each hospital. Some of the more specialized units have their own hours and guidelines; please check with the department reception or with the nursing staff of the unit.
Visiting restrictions
On occasion visiting times may be restricted, depending on the health and condition of the individual patient and whether they are in a special unit. In general, HMC discourage children visiting hospitals for their own protection. Visiting times for children under 12 years of age are restricted (please check guidance specific to the hospital you are visiting). Children must be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times.

There are a wide range of facilities within all HMC hospitals for snacks, refreshments and flowers.
