Waldenstroms Macroglobulinemia by FISH
Waldenstroms Macroglobulinemia (WM) performed by FISH Test.
Useful For
Waldenstroms Macroglobulinemia (WM) comprises of 1–2% of hematologic cancer which is an inactive and serious B-cell neoplasm characterized by the aggregation of lymphoplasmacytic cells within the bone marrow and defined by the intensive production of Monoclonal Immunoglobulin M (IgM) protein.

Factors affecting test performance and result interpretation
WM patients require Cytogenetic studies as a mandatory test in order to report chromosomal abnormalities. Screening chromosome observations involving IGH (14q32), trisomy 12 and deletion of 6q. While the FISH test acts as a conjugate to monitor and analyze IGH of immunoglobulin heavy chain (IgH)with IGH rearrangements in WM patients.
