Women’s Hospital plays a major role in improving the health and wellbeing of women in Qatar. The hospital has a large obstetric service and is responsible for the vast majority of births in Qatar – more than 17,000 each year. This makes it one of the busiest of Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) eight hospitals.
Women’s Hospital has 330 beds, a large Outpatient Department, an emergency room, 16 labor and delivery suites and three operating theaters.
Recent improvements have seen the addition of a new Observation Unit and the expansion of its unique Feto-Maternal Unit, which cares for women with high-risk pregnancies.
In addition to women's health, a neonatal unit provides intensive care to newborns and is equipped with 111 beds/incubators including those in the dedicated mother and baby rooms.
