If you have a gynecological emergency, you will be seen in an examination room within the department by our nursing team and fully assessed and examined by an emergency physician. If we are able to treat you in the Emergency Department, we will do so and then discharge you home. Upon discharge from the Emergency Department, you will receive instructions about your ongoing care. This could include a referral to one of our outpatient clinics in which case notification of this appointment will be sent to you.
If you have a more serious condition, you will be admitted to the hospital for ongoing management.
