Margaret (Eiri) Jones
Margaret (Eiri) Jones is the interim Chief Nursing Officer at Hamad Medical Corporation. She is responsible for providing professional leadership to senior managers across the Corporation’s 8,000 nursing and midwifery staff, ensuring that high standards are set, achieved and maintained.

Eiri brings a wealth of administrative, clinical and nursing leadership experience in the public healthcare sector.  With a career spanning 40 years, her proven track record includes posts with major university teaching and specialist hospitals in the UK. She also worked in Malta, Tunisia, Egypt and Ethiopia. She has held three previous Chief Nursing Officer posts, including at a large multi-site, rural organization.

Eiri retired from full-time employment with the UK’s National Health Service in 2014. Since that time she has held a variety of advisory positions, helping organizations improve healthcare leadership, safety and quality. She has an extensive portfolio of conference presentations and publications to her credit. Eiri describes herself as a patient focused and values based nurse.

Eiri is a Registered Nurse (adult and child). She  specialized clinically in Intensive Care and then Children’s Heart Care.  She holds a Masters in Professional Development and a Certificate in Healthcare Management.
