On November 17 and 18 nurses from across HMC gathered at the Club Hotel in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City to learn about a new career framework that will be implemented across the nursing service as part of HMC’s Nursing Strategy. The framework, known as the Nursing Career Framework, has been developed in an effort to give nurses clear guidance on expectations and opportunities for career development. On December 2 and 3 additional sessions will be held at the Club Hotel and at the Al Wakra and Al Khor Hospitals.

Mapping your Future with the Nursing Career Framework
Following the recent introduction of the Hamad Medical Corporation Nursing Strategy, we are excited to share with you the next step in nursing advancement: the Nursing Career Framework.

The overarching Nursing Career Framework is comprised of three key competency frameworks: the Core Behaviors Framework, the Skills Competency Framework, and the Roles Competency Framework.

The aim of these frameworks is to provide a useful and transparent set of role objectives, behaviors and skills for nurses, at each stage of their professional development. These frameworks are intended to provide a roadmap for nurses to advance their careers, through the determination of areas of strength as well as areas needing support.
All delegates who attended the Nursing Career Framework in Qatar are eligible to receive 2 CNE points. Delegates can get their certificates from the Nursing Education & Research Department, Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City, 22A.

We would appreciate your feedback on this launch event. Your opinion is very important and will help us to refine and improve elements of the three frameworks. Please take a few minutes to complete the feedback form.
