The Anesthesia Department at Al Khor Hospital provides an anesthetic service to all surgical specialties within the hospital, including 24 hour anesthetic coverage for surgical emergencies, maternity and Intensive care.
It attends to approximately 350 patients in any given month and interacts closely with other departments in the hospital such as surgery, laboratory, emergency, outpatients and the Blood Bank.
The department was awarded a certificate from the College of the North Atlantic Qatar for student support, and received a Joint Commission International certificate of appreciation.
