It is my pleasure to welcome you to Qatar.

I am delighted that the IHI has chosen to work with us at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in presenting their first Middle East Forum on Quality Improvement

Hamad serves a growing population, whose healthcare needs are becoming increasingly complex. The great challenge we face is to continue to meet this fast-growing demand for our services, whilst improving the quality of care we provide to all of our patients. As part of this, we have announced our intention of becoming an academic health system, which at its heart combines innovative research, top class education and excellent clinical care.

This Forum is the result of a wider collaboration with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), which is a recognized international leader in health and healthcare improvement and innovation. The Forum supports fully our ongoing work to deliver the safest and most effective care to our patients.

Every healthcare professional aspires to get the right care to the right patient at the right time. At this Forum you can help develop your skills and knowledge through learning about the latest evidence-based best practices in quality improvement, the most innovative methodologies to implement these practices and how to measure rates of success.
